The one thing I like the most about summer is the rich evening sunsets that occur on a regular basis. This year so far has been a dry meaning that we are having less partly cloudy mornings and evenings and more “dull” clear skies.
The blog post image today is an evening capture with my iPhone that started out looking like a possible thunder storm and, do to to our lake effects, broke up into a colorful sunset without the rain.
The things I like the most about this image is the reflection of color on the water as well as the textures in the cloud formations. Along with that is the attraction of the warm colors of the sunlight against the cool tones of the clouds.
Our area of Iowa is in need of rain especially considering that the farm fields are just showing the sprouts of corn and soybeans which really need some rain to get the growing going.
Thanks for stopping by my blog site and I hope you all have a great colorful summer .
