"Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present."
Bill Keane
I've been spending much of my time the past couple of weeks stacking work. In the next couple of months I have 3 exhibits to prepare for plus rotating work in three different galleries. I may catch up...or not, but there is no "or not" in this situation.
In May I will be installing an exhibit of work at the Paradise Center For The Arts in Faribault, Mn. With that will be a reception on May 8th at 5 p.m. and the opportunity to meet some old and new friends. In June I have an intermediate photography class to teach at the Pearson Lakes Art Center in Okoboji, Ia. I will also be hanging a small exhibit at the Dickinson County Nature Center, also in Okoboji as part of their arts and nature program. July will find me hanging work in the Three Lakes Center For The Arts as well, but also getting to enjoy shooting in the area.
But, I did find the time to travel a few local roads after spending most of March traveling in the Southwest. The blog image was almost a missed opportunity as I was heading home after shooting some early morning subjects. I had an unusual urge to make a left turn and within a few minutes I passed this little inlet that I've never before worked.
While walking to a shooting spot I scared up a heron (of course) and watched it fly off with some distain. I fiddled with my tripod, got the camera out, stood up and was surprised to see the heron on the shores edge. Four or five shots later it left, but I did get this shot to work with.
So, it's back to the printer, frames, mat board and cutter. Thank you all for visiting and if you're near to one of the events mentioned, drop in and say hello.
